What is a vape tank?

A vape tank is a reservoir that holds your vape juice, and also contains the coil that converts e-juice into an inhalable vapor. The coils are attached within the device and when activated, they slowly heat the e-liquid, transforming it into the vapor you can inhale.

How do I clean my vape tank?

To clean your vape tank:

  1. Detach your tank from your device and dispose of any liquid that remains.

  2. Place the detached components of your tank in a bowl of warm water and rinse them clean

  3. Remove and allow each piece to air dry before reassembling your device.

It is essential to clean your vape tank in order to maintain a high level of performance, which equates to consistent and strong flavors.

How do I fill a vape tank?

Filling your vape tank is easy and can be done in a few short steps:

  1. Find out if your tank is a top or bottom filler. This is determined by which piece you need to remove, either from the top or the bottom, in order to open your tank. Bottom fillers will need to be flipped upside down in order to fill, whereas top filling devices have a cap on top that can be removed.

  2. Pour out any remaining e-liquid that may be left in your tank and clean your tank with warm water.

  3. After the tank is clean and assembled, it is now time to fill your tank with e-liquid. Take your e-juice and aim the tip to the side of the glass, while gently squeezing the bottle to fill your tank. Be sure to not overfill your tank, for this will cause the e-liquid to leak. Most tanks have a max fill line, however, a good rule of thumb is to fill your tank 3/4 of the way with e-liquid.

  4. When your tank is filled, replace the cap and you are ready to go!

How often do they need to be replaced?

Vape tanks can last for years before needing to be replaced - with proper care and maintenance, of course. The coils within these tanks will need to be replaced over time, depending on how often you use your device. A decline in flavor and vape production are indicators it is time to change your coil.

How much do they cost?

Expect to pay anywhere from $15-$30 on average, with some of the more advanced tanks going upwards of $35-$40.  Your vape tanks will vary on price depending on the brand, quality and size.

What are the sizes and which should I buy?

Vape tanks come in a variety of sizes so it is best to determine what you are looking for in a vaping experience when choosing the right tank. Larger tanks that will hold more e-liquid will require fewer refills but are larger in size and a bit bulky. A smaller tank may be easier to carry in your pocket, but will require more refills. Remember also that both vape and cloud production are similar regardless of the size of the actual tank.

What happens if my vape tank is leaking?

If your tank is leaking, it is important to make sure that you didn’t overfill your tank, which can cause excess e-liquid to leak. If leaking still occurs, check the rubber seals at the base of your device and make sure they aren’t damaged or broken. If you find that your bands are compromised, new bands can be purchased and replaced to prevent leaking.

Which is the best vape tank for clouds?

Tanks that operate at a lower resistance will produce larger clouds, whereas higher resistance tanks provide a more modest cloud. The preference is in the hands of the user.
