Thought & Reviews
The VooPoo Drag simply put is one of the smoothest mods I’ve gotten my hands on. First things first I love the swirly resin pattern. Little touches like that help to make a mod feel more like something you can accessorize rather than a utility to quit smoking with. Also I sincerely enjoy the big watt readout. I don’t like squinting to read how hot I’m firing, so I appreciate that. Now the thing I REALLY enjoy about the VooPoo Drag is not only how quickly it fires, but how smoothly it fires. Let me explain. On other mods when you set your watt range and strength, it feels like it’s pretty much a steady ramp up to that given watt. With the Drag, it fires almost instantaneously but then it has a very smooth ramp up to that given watt. It’s a testament to the GENE chip’s technology and workmanship.
The Not So Dope
Now while I dig the look and size of the VooPoo Drag (I have big hands, so big mods work best with me), I don’t like the edges. Yes, I understand it’s a box mod but I feel that sharp edges should be phased out. Doesn’t matter how amazing the mod is, when your mod has these angled edges it does lead to a bit of fatigue when holding it for prolonged periods. The other thing (that has been noted in the community and I will wholly admit I have not experienced yet) is the fire button sticking. While this doesn’t happen to everyone, it’s stated that it may take some breaking in before the fire button moves smoothly - so I would suggest mock firing it without any batteries in the Drag to work it in.
Honestly? This mod is going to be a must in my line up. Aside from the sharpness of the box, there isn’t much I DON’T love about it.
Completely quench your thirst for a superb box mod with the innovative Voopoo Drag 157W TC Box Mod. Available in stainless steel or black outer bodies, this sleek box mod sports an array of unique carbon fiber inlay panels that look outstanding. One side features the carbon fiber inlay panel, the other side holds the magnetic battery door and features the word 'DRAG' in an awesome font.
Now let’s be clear, the is box mod isn’t just beautiful on the outside; it comes equipped with a state-of-the-art 32-bit GENE Chip that allows for an advanced TCR mode, running Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel coils at 200 - 600F. Resistance can range from 0.05 to 1.5 ohms in TCR mode and 0.05 to 3.0 ohms in variable wattage mode. This box mod also has an instant fire speed of 0.025 seconds once you press the firing button ... talk about lightning-quick! The Voopoo Drag even has a VooPoo PC App, which allows the user to customize and save 3 separate wattage-per-second curve settings and add a customized logo to the display.
Of course, this Voopoo mod features all your standard bells and whistles, like the interactive OLED display screen, 510 connection, and covers all sorts of protection, like overcharging, short circuit, over-temperature, etc. Maxing out at 157W and able to increase or decrease in 1W increments, the Voopoo Drag 157W TC Box Mod is amazing for any level of vaper, and you will truly not be disappointed.
