The Dope

The Wotofo Recurve RDA is an amazing little piece of gear.  First off, it’s an absolutely gorgeous piece of hardware. The curved design is just an awesome aesthetic.The internals are nice, too. I like how easily the coils nest into the RDA as well as how perfectly the airflow holes are directed at the coils. I’ve seen a number of RDA’s where there is ample airflow but it’s not directed in the best way - and the Recurve nails it.  It’s also a flavor machine. Every e-liquid I dripped onto it was bursting with tastiness. Every note and hint came through clearly on my taste buds, so it did not disappoint in that department.

The Not So Dope

While the Recurve hits in a lot of areas it does have some misses (albeit only a couple). First things first, it IS a squonk RDA but does state that it can be used as a regular RDA. I will state this, if you use it as a regular RDA - be prepared to drip…A LOT. Once you pop off that top cap you’ll realize that it was built with squonking in mind and sqounking only. While it can be used as a regular dripper, it is devoid of any type of well. So if you decide to use it as a standard RDA, be prepared to carry plenty of e-liquid along with you. The other downside - although miniscule - is the top cap. I find trying to put it back on like putting a USB cable into the port. You have a 50% chance of nailing it or having it stick. Once its on its pretty snug and works seamlessly. I’m sure they had the assembly figured for sqounkers in mind so removing the top cap repeatedly wasn’t in their design plans, but when you market it as something that can be used as both - it can become a bit tedious.

The Verdict

In the end when it comes to the Wotofo Recurve RDA, I love this little chuck monster. It’s a cloud-creating, flavor-pumping vape dream. If you can get over the minor gripes I’ve listed above you’ll fall in love with this little guy just like I did.

Description

The Wotofo Recurve BF RDA is a 24mm RDA that’s a one of a kind single coil RDA with a unique deck design and airflow control to help create a flavor that is out of this world!

One of the more fascinating things about this deck is while the full diameter is 24mm, the building surface is 22mm wide. The half-pipe shaped walls that surround the single coil build deck allow for a more directed airflow which funnels the vapor upwards and reducing the distance the vapor has to travel, creating a much more robust flavor. While this is a quad terminal postless deck, the 1mm front to back post holes are milled into the walls to allow for any of those crazy huge Clapton builds! Just in case you were concerned that you wouldn’t be able to hold any juice in your vape cotton for these huge builds, this RDA has a 4mm juice well.

The Wotofo Recurve RDA has a distinct look to the deck due to the hourglass-shaped cap that they designed. The curved cap isn’t going to have too much impact on the general performance of the RDA but it does allow for you to turn the cap and pull it off easier. The 810 fitted cap comes in either Gold, Black, Gun-metal, Blue, Stainless steel, or Rainbow. You will also get an 810 resin drip tip along with a replacement frosted 810 drip tip.

This RDA also comes with a gold-plated 510 squonk pin pre-installed as Wotofo designed the Recurve specifically with that feature in mind. The honeycomb design of the air holes will allow you to fill up to the air holes with little to no leakage! Even when you’re not using the squonking ability the airflow is smooth as can be. Additionally, if squonking isn’t your thing, a standard 510 connection pin is included in the box as well!

All things considered, this RDA is ahead of the curve when it comes to the quality of decks and sets a new standard on flavor and quality!
